Pocket passer out of a spread offense who threw for an impossible 90 touchdowns and 5,631 yards with only 4 interceptions as a senior.
The 90 TD's broke the national state record of 77 set by Thomas Thrash of Pulaski Academy (Little Rock, Ark)in 2001 and bypassed the Kentucky record held by Justin Burke who tossed 62 TD's in 2005. The number also shattered marks set by other Kentucky prep greats Chris Redman (57-TD), Gino Guidugli (53-TD), Tim Couch (48-TD), Brian Brohm (47-TD) and Jared Lorenzen (45-TD).
Heading into the 2007 State Championship game Robinson had passed for 5,631 yards for the season. This placed him third on the national charts behind current University of Cincinnati quarterback Ben Mauk who threw for 5,770 yards in 2001 and 6,540 yards in 2002. |
