| Matthews broke most Shelby County passing records as a junior, throwing for 2,703 yards and 33 touchdowns in nine games. Had a best outing of 453 yards and 7 touchdowns against Louisville Ballard. 2006 KFCA District Player of the Year and First Team All-District selection. Also earned 2006 All-State Honorable Mention honors.
Threw for 1,376 yards and 13 touchdowns as a sophomore.
Threw for 951 yards and 9 touchdowns as a freshman.
