It was a nailbiter, with a John Wall jumper with less than one second to go sealing the win for Kentucky, 72-70 over Miami (Ohio)--but it also inched UK one win closer to the magic 2000 victories. A win by a bucket is as good as a win by 40 in the race to 2000. Full Story

It's a fun game we play each year; simply named the KSR Game Contest. Each basketball game we ask contestants to predict three different areas of the game, and a tiebreaker. The first two are always the same--margin of victory (or loss), and the game high scorer (whether UK player or opponent) and the total points. The third one varies from game to game, and the tiebreaker varies as well. Full Story

Kentucky began the season with a 4-game lead over the # 2 all-time winningest program, North Carolina. The Wildcats finished last year with 1988 wins; North Carolina 1984. With last night's opening victory over Morehead State, the Cats move to just 11 victories short of the mark. North Carolina has already played two games this year, winning both, to cut into the Wildcat lead. Full Story
