Vargas commits to Kentucky

A commitment from Eloy Vargas helps to fill the void left by departing players. Kentucky lost four post players off the 2009-2010 season, three of those players are likely to be first round NBA draft picks next month. Kentucky's John Calipari is likely to try to add one more frontcourt player to his squad, as he seeks to rebuild a team which is losing five underclassmen to the NBA draft.

Scout's Evan Daniels has reported that Eloy Vargas has committed to play basketball for John Calipari's Kentucky Wildcats. Daniels reports that Vargas, who was a four star top 50 recruit in the high school class of 2008, gave a commitment while on a visit to the Lexington campus.
