After averaging 18 points and nearly 7 assists per game for West Jessamine as a senior, Jarrod Polson will bring his game to Lexington as a Kentucky Wildcat.
Polson received a preferred walk-on offer after working out with the team and meeting with Kentucky coaches last week. Polson then visited Liberty University (Va.) and pondered a scholarship offer with them before choosing to stay at home.
“He’s a very talented young man in every aspect, on and off the floor,” West Jessamine Head Coach Damon Kelley told KSR last week. “He was our point guard. From a ball-handling stand point, he’s the best kid I’ve been around. It didn’t matter what kind of defense we faced, he was a one man press offense,” said Kelley.
Polson's addition helps fill out the roster that is in need of bodies to compete in practice.
