Former Wildcat Blanton to start Game 4

PHILADELPHIA -- Former Kentucky right-handed starting pitcher Joe Blanton has drawn the starting assignment for Game 4 of the 2009 MLB World Series against the New York Yankees, it was announced by Philadelphia Phillies manager Charlie Manuel.

Blanton will be making his second consecutive start in World Series Game 4, as he started and won Game 4 in the 2008 World Series, helping lead the Phillies to the World Championship. The game is set for 8:20 p.m. ET Sunday at Philadelphia's Citizens Bank Park and it is assumed that Yankees manager Joe Girardi will start ace CC Sabathia against Blanton in the contest on short rest for the third...
