Mike Hartline threw for a career high 255 yards and two touchdowns in Kentucky's 20-14 victory on Saturday evening at Commonwealth Stadium.

After struggling much of the first half, Kentucky's stout defense took control of the game, stopping the Blue Raiders on it's last six possessions of the game, after they took the lead 14-10 at the 8:17 mark.

Kentucky scored on a touchdown pass from Mike Hartline to running back Derrick Locke to give the Wildcats the lead 17-14 with 12:25 to go in the fourth quarter.

Lonas Seiber made the second of two field goals attempted to give the Cats at 20-14 lead at the 6:44 mark.

With less than a minute to go, the Wildcats were in position to clinch the game with a 33 yard field goal, when MTSU blocked the field goal and returned it 37 yards. The Raiders lost yards on the return for a holding penalty, giving them the ball at their own 38 yard line.

On the final play of the game, a deflected pass from Joe Craddock was caught for a 61 yard reception, when senior corner Robbie McAtee tackled Eldred King at the 1 yard line to clinch the game.
