The UK staff is looking to make an impact at linebacker during the 2009 recruiting class. One of the more highly recruited linebackers that the Cats are following is Justin Isadore. KSR had an opportunity to speak with the Texas linebacker.
The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Texan gathered 114 tackles, four interceptions and four fumble recoveries last season for Ozen High School (Tx.) in Beaumont. Holding several offers, Justin Isadore is one of the more gifted linebackers in his class. “I have offers from Colorado State, Texas Christian, Arizona State, Iowa State, Syracuse, Kansas, Kentucky and Auburn,” said Isadore.
“I think I do everything well. I’m one of the most complete linebackers in our class. I think I’m especially good at defending the pass,” said Isadore. Justin does have things he wants to work on prior and during his senior year. “I want to be more of a leader. I’m not used to taking on a leadership role,” he said.
Isadore hasn’t narrowed down his college options at this time, but he has taken a few visits. “I went to Auburn and I’m going to TCU next weekend. I’m going to Arizona State in August,” he said. “I’m going to take one of my official visits to Kentucky,” said Isadore.
Justin has a few criteria that he desires in the school he chooses. “The academic programs are important. I also want to see who they’ve sent to the NFL, and the overall conference,” he said.
Isadore is currently not rated by Scout.com but is sure to rise in the rankings during his senior season.
