LEXINGTON, Ky.—UKathletics.com is introducing an interactive, informative Football Gameday site designed and prepared to answer questions for fans that plan on attending the 2008 home games.
The site officially launches today, and will continue to provide up-to-date information all season long.
Fans should be prepared for a SMOKE-FREE Commonwealth Stadium per University policy in the 2008 campaign. This is the biggest change made to the gameday operations, and details involving the NO-SMOKING environment are just a few of the many items that can be found at the Football Gameday site.
The site is broken down into eight categories: Shuttle Info, Directions and Traffic, Parking, Maps, RV Information, Commonwealth Stadium A-Z, About Lexington and Traditions.
By visiting the button labeled Shuttle Info, fans will be able to attain pre-and post-game details involving the UK Football Express-Campus Route and Downtown Route shuttle services. Links are provided under each route providing fans with a map of the route they have chosen.
The Directions button provides fans with specific directions to Commonwealth Stadium from a variety of routes for pre-and-post game traffic flow. Fans can also find details regarding the 2008 parking regulations, tailgating policies; visitor’s parking suggestions and disability services in this section.
The Commonwealth Stadium A-Z guide is designed to answer all questions regarding the fans’ experience at Wildcat Football games. Details involving locations of ATMs, where to purchase chair backs, help desk locations, first aide stations locations and important phone numbers are just a few of the many facts that can be found on this page.
Finally, the Traditions section of the Gameday site is where fans can find details involving the ever popular Cat Walk, the Wildcat Refuge, the UK Marching Band pre-game parade, and Countdown to Kickoff. Fans can also find a tentative pre-game timing format, the promotional schedule for the season and lyrics to “On, On U of K” and “My Old
Kentucky
Home.”
The site has been designed to help answer fans’ questions about gameday at Commonwealth Stadium for the 2008 season. Should you have additional questions or concerns regarding your Gameday experience, please submit an email to CWSGameday@email.uky.edu.
