One look at the rosters for the first annual Kentucky East-West All-Star Football Game and you can see the job Coach Rich Brooks and his staff have done keeping instate talent from leaving.

The Kentucky High School Coaches Association has worked over the past several years to bring more exposure to high school football in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  This years East – West All-Star game is just the latest example of showing the type of talent that comes from the Bluegrass State.

With eleven future attendees of the University of Kentucky, including several scholarship athletes, the game set for 7:00 p.m. at Papa John’s Stadium in Louisville will have a Wildcats feel and presence.

The East team will be headlined by two Scout.com four-star prospects as wide receiver Aaron Boyd (Henry Clay HS) and defensive back Winston Guy (Lexington Catholic HS) will look to bring the Eastern part of Kentucky the first championship.

Joining the duo will be a pair of state champions as quarterback Clay Cecil (Highlands HS) and wide receiver Nathan Dutton (Trinity HS) will be joined by defensive back Steven Ferguson (Eastern HS) and kicker Jake Stephens (Lafayette HS).

For the West squad three Scout.com ranked players will look to keep the trophy in Western Kentucky.  Three-star safety E.J. Fields (Frankfort HS) will be joined by three-star offensive lineman Dave Ulinski (Dupont Manual HS) and two-star offensive lineman Matthew Smith (St. Xavier HS).

Joining them will be defensive back Mikey Benton (Russellville HS) and offensive lineman P.J. Hernandez (Christian Co HS).

Other names to watch include Bowling Green High School products Ryan Wallace (Colorado), D.L. Moore (South Carolina) and Jared Carpenter (Northwestern) and Lone Oak’s record setting quarterback Corey Robinson (Troy).
