Burden Earns Two First Place Finishes
The Lancers came in second place behind Cleveland Heights in the team competition earning 41-points, just three shy of the state champions with Burden being a big reason why.
With a throw of 61-feet, 2.5 inches in the shot put Burden earned big points for his team. The future lineman placed seventh in the event last year and became the first La Salle thrower to win a state title.
Burden later would return and win the discus with a 187-6 performance.
The future looks bright for Burden as he'll soon head to Kentucky for football and plans to compete with the Wildcats track team as well in both events.
