The Wildcats have had very little success at Antioch (Tn.) HS despite its constant presence in the area. From Preston Brown to Lamarckus Coker, Kentucky seemingly strikes out annually.

This year it's persistence could pay off in the mold of one of the state's best defensive prospects.

Michael McAdoo visited the University of Kentucky campus several months ago and continues to list the Wildcats among his leaders.

"It's hard to ignore them," McAdoo said. "They are so close to home and they do a good job of recruiting around here. They've got a lot of guys from Tennessee on the roster, already."

"Jeremy Jarmon was my host on my visit up there," McAdoo said. "We talked about playing together and representing the state."

McAdoo's addition would be the fourth in a very small signing class for Kentucky. The Wildcats have already landed Randall Cobb from Alcoa (Tn.) and Deaunte Mason and William Johnson from Nashville (Tn.).

The Mason brothers could play an important role in the decision of McAdoo, since it appears that the talented defensive end will choose between North Carolina and Kentucky.

"I've grown up with Deaunte and (Rashad), who is at North Carolina," McAdoo said. "I am boys with both of them."
