Cats crush Tennessee Tech 69-47

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Kentucky rode a 24 point, 15 rebound performance from Patrick Patterson to a 69-47 victory over Tennessee Tech. The Cats shot 61% from the field in the second half to break open an 8-point halftime lead for the 22-point win.
In a game that saw leading scorer
Joe Crawford
and fellow senior starter
Ramel Bradley
benched for the first half,
Kentucky
received key contributions from others to generate an 8-point halftime lead.
Ramon Harris
added eight points, 10 rebounds in playing all 40 minutes in the contest, while
A.J. Stewart
scored nine, with five rebounds and
Perry Stevenson
added four, with eight rebounds.
Bradley and Crawford were inserted in the second half and played an integral role in the win. Although Crawford logged only 10 minutes, he managed to lead Kentucky in assists with five, and added five points as well. Bradley was Kentucky's second-leading scorer with 12 points on 2-3 shooting (7-8 free throws), adding two steals and an assist in his 14 minutes of play.
Kentucky (5-5) reached the .500 mark with the win and will next face San Diego next Saturday.
