Jan Pfeffer and Rita Dunham are two native Kentuckians who truly love University of Kentucky athletics. That’s why planning basketball trip like the two they have this year truly are a labor of love.

“I am from Harlan County and Rita is from Casey County. We started the Cat Trackers 13 years ago and are still organizing trips. We depend on fans telling other fans about our trips. We never guarantee wins, but we do guarantee a great time with good people. After all, they’re Kentucky fans and that makes them ‘family.’”

If you are a Big Blue basketball fan, they have two trips organized that might interest you. And if you go with the Cat Trackers, it will be impossible not to have fun.

The trips leave from Cincinnati. But the Cat Trackers make a stop in Florence, Ky., to pick up passengers and likely would make a special stop for you as well.

“We are always pretty flexible because we just want fans to have a good time,” said Pfeffer. “We make stops all along the I-75 corridor.”

The first trip is March 2-6 and includes games at Tennessee and South Carolina. The price is $550 per person and includes motorcoach transportation, four nights lodging, breakfast each day, two dinner shows, two historic tours, a buffet lunch and the games.

“Although the games are our priority, we include other activities,” Pfeffer said. “We have organized trips to four Maui Classics and we made our third trip to New York recently.”

They also have a trip to the Southeastern Conference Tournament in Atlanta March 12-17. Cost for this trip is $660 per person and includes five nights lodging, game tickets, breakfast each day and transportation to and from all games. The trip has a “Bracket Party” at the hotel after the SEC title game to watch the NCAA Tournament pairings.
