Lexington (Ky.) Henry Clay HS manages to produce some of the state of Kentucky's top prospects each and every year.

As would be the case, this year is yet another in a long line of consistent talent to head from coach Salin Simpson's program in the past ten years.

"I'm just trying to set out this year to prove to everyone that I am the best player in the state," Boyd said. "I know there are a lot of people out there that have said some things about me and my game. I'm just looking to prove people wrong."

Aaron Boyd, brother of former University of Kentucky quarterback Shane, places his name amongst the masses of Henry Clay HS standouts, following former teammate Chase Minnified, who signed with Virginia last year.

The 6-foot-4, 195 pound wide receiver has offers from Virginia, Miami (Fla.), Tennessee, Kentucky, Louisville, Cincinnati and NC State.

"I've got alot of good offers right now," Boyd said. "My last good offer was from Miami (Fla.). I like them alot. I think it's definitely a school I would consider going to and would be a good school for me."

In-state Louisville and Kentucky continue to battle for position as well. Both housed Boyd recently for their respective spring games weeks ago.

"I really liked Louisville," Boyd said. "They had like 28,000 people for the spring game. I like the new coaching staff. They are very personable and more hands on. You can tell they are going to be good for a long time."

"Kentucky was good," Boyd said. "I've been going to Kentucky since I was little so I know what they have to offer. Joker Phillips is a good friend of our family and we've known him for a long time. We know what to expect from UK, because they've been apart of my life since I was little. Even if I don't go to school at Kentucky, I'll always follow them."

A class of 2008 standout, Boyd has been clocked at 4.6 forty-yard dash. At 6-foot-4, 190, he'd be an imposing target at receiver. He'll spend the summer in Arizona with his brother, Shane, participating with the NFL Cardinals organization.
