Kentucky freshman guard Jodie Meeks has been named to the Collegeinsider.com Freshman All-America team as announced by the organization.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky freshman guard Jodie Meeks has been named to the Collegeinsider.com Freshman All-America team as announced by the organization.

Meeks has been the UK’s top player off the bench this season averaging 8.5 points while shooting 89 percent from the free throw line.

The freshman from Norcross, Ga. has averaged 13.3 points per game in Kentucky’s last six games and has been named the SEC Freshman of the Week three times this season.

He was also named to the SEC Coaches’ Freshman All-SEC team.

Division I coaches and NBA scouts are part of the selection process for the Collegeinsider.com Freshman All-America team.
