LEXINGTON, Ky. – UK’s Jared Carter is expected to resume practice in 3-4 weeks after suffering a dislocation of his right shoulder during practice last Saturday morning.
The 7-2 Georgetown native underwent an MRI Monday morning to determine the extent of the injury. Carter logged 27 minutes in Kentucky’s two exhibition games averaging 6.5 points and pulling down 3.0 rebounds per game.
Kentucky opens the regular season on Wednesday night hosting the Miami (OH) Redhawks at Rupp Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. with the game being televised live on FSN and on a tape-delay basis on the Big Blue Sports Network.
