"No, I haven't verbal or anything like that," Chris Cessna said. "I just said that I am going to make a decision before the end of the summer and before school starts back up."
After a junior season that saw him record 161 tackles, 4 tackles for loss and four sacks as the outside linebacker for the Jaguars of North Laurel High School, the London (Ky.) native had seen his stock rise considerably across the country.
He took unofficial visits to Louisville, Purdue, Kentucky, Virginia Tech and Tennessee this summer. He currently holds just two scholarship offers, however in Purdue and Kentucky.
"I've been getting a lot of college attention throughout the summer," Cessna indicated, "A lot of schools have told me that I am behind some people, but I'm looking to get the process over with."
Cessna says he'll not take any more official or unofficial visits before making his decision. "I probably won't have much time to decide with football starting," Cessna said.
The linebacker also starred on offense last season as a tight end catching 31 passes for 518 yards and six touchdowns.
