Zirbel Meets UK's O-Line Coach

Murray High School OL, Cory Zirbel, met with new UK offensive line coach, Jimmy Heggins last week. Since then, Cory has now cut his list of schools down to two.

"Michigan still leads, but Miami is out. It's Michigan and Kentucky right now. For now, I'm still committed to Michigan; but, I'm going to talk to Kentucky some between now and February 2nd."

Coach Heggins, who coached at Florida State for the past eleven seasons, has made a positive impact for Kentucky so far - at least in Zirbel's recruitment.

"It went real good. He talked to me about what all he did at Florida State, who all he coached, what he brought in, and what he can do at Kentucky to help turn the program around. I like him alot better than Coach Dunn. Nothing against Coach Dunn, but I like Coach Heggins alot better than Coach Dunn. I mean, it definitely helps to have him around especially when (Kentucky) didn't even have an offensive line coach when I was on my official visit there."

Cory will not just be sitting until February 2nd, though, as Coach Heggins and company plan one more trip down to see Zirbel next week.

"I have no clue, for sure, when he's coming; but, Coach Heggins is coming back next week to see us and talk about things again. We'll see where it goes from there."

Stay tuned to IK within the next week to see how Heggins' Visit II turns out.
