Tennant Down To Three

Tennant has all but crossed Kentucky off his list

Kentucky struck gold last year when they picked up a verbal commitment from Ben McGrath from Moeller High School in Cincinnati (OH). This year they have aspirations of picking up another verbal from the city by the river. See what the latest news is on Matthew Tennant.

Decision time appears to be on its way for 6-foot-5 Offensive Line/Defensive Line prospect Matthew Tennant.

"It's pretty much down to three," the Cincinnati (OH) native told Inside Kentucky. "Purdue, Boston College, and Penn State."

"I have offers from all of them except for Penn State."

The Cincinnati native has also garnered early offers from Cincinnati, Kentucky, Louisville, Indiana, Minnesota, Bowling Green and Akron.

"I took unofficials to Purdue and Penn State," Tennant continued. "And I going to fly to Boston College here shortly."

The 250-pound prospect could end up on either side of the offensive or defensive line in college.

"I went to Penn State and loved it," Got a chance to tour the facilities and sat down with the coaches and they said they are going to evaluate me this year."

Still Purdue, which boasts friend and former high school teammate Zach Smith appears to be the leader for his services.

"Purdue, I really like," Tennant. "The academic support they have their is outstanding and the facilities are nice."

"And they have a real nice family atmosphere."

Asked if any teams could possibly move into the fray;

"I don't know. I am pretty much set on those three, right now."
