Jonathon Lee turned some heads at Kentucky’s Friday Night Lights camp last week. The 5-foot-11, 187-pound back ran a 4.32 forty for the coaching staff. But that’s not something that has been out of the ordinary.
“(Running a 4.32) is a blessing,” Lee said. “It’s something I’ve been doing at all the camps I’ve been to.”
Lee’s one of the Maryland prospects that Kentucky has been recruiting. But Kentucky isn’t alone in their interest in the speedy back.
Why do coaching staffs like Lee at this stage in his development?
“I’m a very athletic player. I have the speed to outrun people and also the strength to shed lots of tacklers,” he said.
Lee showed his talents in a big way at the Kentucky camp, not only turning in a great 40-time, but just generally performing well.
“The Kentucky camp was nice. I dominated the one-on-ones and agility drills. It was fun competing with the other recruits. I also enjoyed getting to work with Coach (Chad) Scott,” Lee finished.
