Kentucky’s Alvin “Bud” Dupree and Avery Williamson were named second-team All-Southeastern Conference by the Associated Press on Monday.

Kentucky’s Alvin “Bud” Dupree and Avery Williamson were named second-team All-Southeastern Conference by the Associated Press on Monday.

Dupree, a junior defensive end, recorded 61 tackles and finished the season with a team-high seven sacks, ranking sixth in the SEC and 40th nationally in that category. The Georgia native also led the Cats with 9.5 tackles for loss while posting three quarterback hurries and two forced fumbles in his first season under UK head coach Mark Stoops’ defensive scheme.

Williamson, a senior linebacker, finished the season as UK’s leading tackler for the second consecutive year, posting 102 total stops to rank fourth in the SEC. The Tennessee native closed his UK career with 296 tackles, playing in 49 games. He had 12 double-digit tackle games as a Wildcat.
