The winners of the last two men's college basketball national championships will be vying for one of the top prospects in the Class of 2014.
Five-star Indiana power forward Trey Lyles announced Monday evening via Twitter that he will eventually choose between Kentucky and Louisville. He posted an Instagram photo of himself made to appear in both a Kentucky No. 10 jersey and a Louisville No. 10 jersey.
The 6-foot-9, 240-pound Lyles, who had originally committed to Indiana as a sophomore, dropped Butler and Florida from consideration.
He plans to make his official visit to UK on October 18 as part of a large group of elite prospects coming to Lexington for Big Blue Madness.
Lyles is ranked the No. 1 power forward in the senior class by Scout and FOX Sports Next.
Kentucky currently has two verbal commitments in the Class of 2014: five-star New Jersey center/forward Karl Towns Jr. and four-star Chicago point guard Tyler Ulis.
