Kentucky added a major priority to its impressive 2014 football recruiting class on Tuesday when three-star Woodruff (S.C.) receiver Blake Bone announed his commitment to the Wildcats during a ceremony at his school.
Bone (6-5, 195, 4.5) picked the Cats over Louisville, Ole Miss and South Carolina. He had also picked up scholarship offers from programs like Arkansas, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Nebraska and North Carolina.
As a junior, Bone caught 65 passes for 1,150 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Along with the 6-foot-2 Thaddeus Snodgrass, Bone gives UK some much-needed size in its receiver corps to go along with fellow commitments Garrett Johnson (5-11) and T.V. Williams (5-10). The Cats also picked up a verbal from 6-4 Florida wideout Tyre Brady earlier this summer, but eligibility question marks surround his commitment.
The Cats now have 24 verbal commitments for 2014 and currently rank No. 8 in the FOX Sports Next/Scout.com national team rankings.
