UK head coach John Calipari and Wildcat assistant coaches Orlando Antigua and Kenny Payne were on hand for the opener, which saw Hawkins lead Madison Central to an 81-56 win over Wayne County. The senior point guard had a game-high 25 points to lead the Indians and could be in position to land a scholarship offer from the Cats.
Hawkins, who has offers from Western Kentucky, Morehead State and Tennessee Tech, as well as strong interest from UK, Louisville, Alabama, Tennessee and Purdue, called Kentucky his "dream school" and noted it was a "big honor" to be scouted by Calipari on Friday.
Bolden helped lead Covington Holmes to a 65-60 win over Louisville PRP in Game 2. The sophomore point guard scored 13 points and dished out four assists.
Hawkins and Bolden will go head to head in Friday's quarterfinals as Madison Central (29-5) takes on Covington Holmes (32-2).
Games 3 and 4 tonight will feature Graves County versus Ohio County and Hopkinsville versus South Oldham.
