UK Basketball subject of new documentary

The Wildcats will be the subject of a new documentary, "Bluegrass Kingdom: The Gospel of Kentucky Basketball" that premiers March 17 on truTV.

Kentucky basketball will be the subject of a new documentary that premiers March 17 on truTV.

The documentary, titled “Bluegrass Kingdom: The Gospel of Kentucky Basketball,” is based on the history and tradition of college basketball’s winningest program and will feature interviews from UK legends like Pat Riley, Kenny Walker, Jamal Mashburn, Derek Anderson, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Joe B. Hall and John Calipari as well as personalities such as musician Drake and actress Ashley Judd.

The history of the UK program from its origins to the 2012 national championship team will be featured.

Presented by Mandalay Sports Media and Infiniti, “Bluegrass Kingdom” will air on Selection Sunday, March 17, at 8 p.m. ET.
