Ryan Harrow
is back with the Wildcats.
The sophomore point guard returned to Kentucky's practice session on Sunday after going home to North Carolina over the holiday. He has missed the last four games dealing with an illness and what was described as a "family issue."
"I would like to thank my teammates, the UK coaching staff and administration along with the Big Blue Nation for their support over the last couple of weeks while I was out," Harrow said via a statement released by UK media relations. "I'm feeling much better, and it felt really good to get back on the practice court with the guys today.
"Unfortunately, when I started feeling better, I had an issue to tend to with my family over the holiday break. Everything is good with that now and I'm excited about playing with my brothers again."
Harrow played in The Opening game of the season against Maryland, but only lasted only 10 minutes due to an ailment that had left him fatigued.
After Friday's game against LIU-Brooklyn, UK coach
John Calipari
said he was eager to get Harrow back in action, buy noted the player would have to compete to get his spot back in the rotation.
"He starts down the totem pole and he has to work his way back," Calipari said. "... If someone is better, he's not playing. If he's better, he'll play in time. We need him back, need another guy, no question. Like everything else, you have injuries, things that go on as a coach."
