Florida lineman Jafar Mann has decided to transfer. The freshman met with head coach Will Muschamp on Sunday night to talk, and the conversation ended with him planning to leave the program. Mann has split time between offensive guard and defensive tackle since coming to campus over the summer.

"Jafar Mann and I met last night, and he decided to transfer,” Will Muschamp said. “He and I agreed that it’s time for him to move on.”

Mann was ranked as the 39th defensive tackle when he came out of Stephenson High School last season. The former three-star product played on both sides of the line of scrimmage in high school and in his short time in Gainesville.

The freshman hasn’t played a snap this season for Florida. He signed as a defensive tackle, but when the Gators needed some extra depth on the interior of the offensive line, Mann was moved to that side of the ball.
