Vanderbilt's exhibition game on Saturday evening gave fans their first look at the team's freshmen, including Kendall Shaw and Heather Bowe who both scored in double figures in the 81-53 win. But unfortunately for the Dores, the biggest news of the game was an apparently serious injury to junior post Stephanie Holzer.

Starters: Jasmine Lister, Christina Foggie, Elan Brown, Tiffany Clarke, and Stephanie Holzer

Vanderbilt scored the first two baskets of the game, but then the Cougars scored 12 straight points, and Vanderbilt Head Coach Melanie Balcomb called a timeout.

With a smaller roster last year, the Dores limited full court pressure defense to selected situations. In Saturday's game, they played full court defense on ever possession.

Midway through the first half Stephanie Holzer went down with a serious knee injury during some physical play under the home basket. Medical personnel immediately sprang to her side, silence fell over the gym, and play was suspended for several minutes.
