Texas A&M – 42

I'm just not buying into the MSU hype - this team has not played well against good teams and A&M has. MSU's secondary has not seen anything like what they'll see Saturday. A&M rolls MSU from start to finish and chases the crowd in the 3rd quarter. Bring on Tide!

Crucial game for the Ags. Whipping Auburn on the road last week was just what the doctor ordered to help this team realize that they can execute a clean game on the road. And what a beautiful sight to see the Ags running game clicking on all cylinders. Our run game will neutralize the Staaaate's best assets, their DBs, and our D will over match their offense. Once again, the key to this game is playing clean. Do that and the Ags romp, I think they do. Ags 44, Staaaaate 17.

My opinion was the Ol Miss game was the most important so far this season. We faced adversity on the road in the SEC and we overcame it, which has been extremely rare in the past decade plus. It now shifts to this game as the most important. This was a swing game prior to the season, MSU was unknown also, but some people were jumping on the bandwagon. Sure, they have played a paper schedule and are coming off a Tide beating, but they are at home, the stupid snow bowl is a rallying cry, and there has to be some pride in shutting down every media's darling this season, JFF. We know we only have a puncher's chance at Bama, we kill SHSU, and we should demoralize Misery while finishing strong. Take this game, we have a major shot at 9-3 and a favorable bowl matchup. For the game, I see the offense continuing to get more in sync, WRs to JFF, JFF to system, staff to offensive parts (TWill). MSU Defense will give up points (see Bama), it's up to us to play clean on penalties and especially turnovers. Defensively, we should bend but not break. Keep tempo, get the foot on the gas, wear them out so they start pressing on both sides of the ball. The pups are maturing before our eyes. This is a road SEC win, ugly, with lipstick, but a win none the less. We play clean, we score much more on offense, but I'm not convinced we do that

Tyler Russell is a statue. DeMontre Moore likes statues. Moo State WRs are slow. Our DBs can cover slow WRs. Moo State has a good RB. A&M D has proven they can stymie better rushing attacks. This game has a pucker factor. On a scale of 1-10, it’s a 7. Sumlin doesn’t care about pucker factor and tells Aggros to get a dog. Aggies win.

Johnny Football does not lose or get stopped by defenses without elite speed. Simple as that. Mississippi State does not have elite speed. I think Steven Jenkins,Damontre Moore, and the rest of the defense will be able to slow down the Bulldogs offense in a game I predict to be over by halftime. This game will earn Johnny a trip to New York over the holidays.

The general feel is this game is pretty even, at least on paper. The teams have similar rankings and records but from there the similarities at least by the numbers differ. MSU is 61st (233 ypg) and 62nd (164 ypg) in the country in passing and rushing respectively. A&M however is 19th (305 ypg)and 14th (238 ypg) in passing and rushing respectively. The Aggies are 3rd in the country in points per game averaging 46 while MSU is 43rd averaging 33. A&M definitely has an edge on offense but the question will be can the Bulldog D averaging giving up only 17 points per game can slow down Johnny Manziel and company enough to let their offense close the game and score enough to win. I don't think so.

Run Johnny run! I expect a big day on the ground for both Johnny Football and the running backs. Manziel must be very careful with his throws on the perimeter. MSU has corners like Banks who can step in front of a pass and go the other way for a pick six. Aside from the secondary, A&M wins the other match-ups and they are battle tested. As I’ve always said this season, if |Johnny Football is faster and more athletic than the opposing front seven, he’ll make big plays with his feet and I expect it again today.
