Shabazz Muhammad — "He was a great athlete when he was younger who could finish in transition. You could throw him alley-oop to or he could drive to the basket in the open floor. He has worked on his pull up jump shot, worked on ability to post up. He did a lot of posting up early and scoring against guys his size or bigger, then his jump shot evolved and then evolved with range. He can beat you in a variety of ways, not just with athleticism but with skills and a much improved basketball IQ. He is one of hardest working guys in the class and that is a trait he has always had. When I think of work ethic, I think of Shabazz."

Alex Poythress — "He has a NBA small forward, two guard body. He has made open 3's recently and he's another guy with tremendous ability to put the ball on the floor and get there. Maybe not as fluid as Goodwin right now, but he gets to the rim with a jab step and quick first step. His dribble can take him where he wants and knows how to pull up and has a nice pull-up shot from 15 feet. He will get on the break, he can handle the ball coast to coast, and making 3's has really enhanced his ability to put up big numbers. He was mainly a driver because he was so big and strong, but his jump shot has really enhanced his game. He is an elite player."

Archie Goodwin — "His No. 1 forte is to beat you off the dribble. He is exceptional at that. He has size, quickness and strength. As he beats you with any of those three and gets closer to the basket, he does what Cal teaches and that is explodes. He does that very well. He can go over you, go around you or go through you. He reminds me of Dwayne Wade with his size, strength, and the way he handles the ball and lately he has been making really good passes off penetration. He is seeing the floor now. His jump shot is improving and needs to improve more. He is inconsistent but has a nice shot. As he gets in the lane, he is very, very good."

Perry Ellis — "Perry Ellis has a strong power forward game, he is an excellent rebounder, he drives the ball very well from the high post, finishes off the fast break and has a tremendous resume. At times his play is inconsistent and that along with others playing well caused to drop a few notches (in the rankings) but does not take away his talent and potential "He does drive the ball well from the post and that fits Cal's system very well. The dribble drive is the premise, but ball screens, post up situations are part of it to. It is good for a big guy. If a big guy can drive, he can fit into the system much easier and has a chance to hone that craft by beat guys off dribble. More perimeter guys can do, but a big guy who can handle can create mismatches and that's what Cal looks to do, but you have to be all to set screens and post up. He can do it all."

Dajuan Coleman — "He has worked on his body. He was always the biggest, strongest, widest of anybody with tremendous hands. He has taken his body and improved it. He has eliminated some of the flesh. He moves well and scores well and really, really rebounds well. With all the dribble drive in Cal's offense, there will always be a lot of dump offs to a guy like Coleman who can finish. He also has the ability set ball screens and roll. He has been highly ranked since he was younger and kept himself there by taking care of his body. His game is scoring and rebounding and protecting the rim. He can make it hard to post up against him."

Mitch McGary — "With McGary, he is very mobile, very agile. He runs the floor extremely well. He has good ball skills. He can handle very well for a guy his size and is very confident in his ability. He maybe has the best motor in all of high school basketball. I coached him at the NBA camp. He gives it all from start to end. With that motor, he has size and skills. He can shoot from 15 feet and his range is extending. He is an excellent rebounder, too."
