Jonathan Jackson is one of Kentucky's best defensive players regardless of class. And while there are some questions about his size, he has made sure there are no questions about his overall ability.

Jonathan Jackson was one of the stars of the Mayfield Cardinals' team last year. The 5-foot-10 linebacker doubled as a running back and helped carry the Cardinals to a 15-0 record.

Jackson has earned quite a bit of early college interest and this weekend, he headed up to Lexington to compete in a camp at Kentucky.

"(The camp) went great. It talked to the coaches afterwards and they said they were definitely going to be recruiting me harder and coming to see me more," said Jackson.

Jackson got a chance to play against players of similar skills and talent he enjoyed that opportunity.

"It's always fun to compete with those guys," he said. "To see how you fair against other guys that are at an elite level. It's a privilege and I'm thankful to be able to do the things I'm doing and getting to experience."
