Kentucky has three underclassmen who have declared for the draft. Brandon Knight appears to be the first one to make a decision and will publicly let it be known tomorrow.
Brandon Knight had a great season for Kentucky this year, averaging 17 points per game and four assists, leading the Wildcats to their first Final Four since 1998. Knight soon declared for the NBA Draft and now it appears he will keep his name in.
Knight will make his announcement tomorrow to the media at 10:15 am.
While he hasn’t said for certain that he will keep his name in the draft, his mother has previously indicated that it would take something significant to keep him out. Knight also got positive feedback from NBA scouts during the workouts held at UK earlier this week.
“Brandon got the confirmation that he wanted,” UK Coach John Calipari told ESPN’s Andy Katz.
It appears based on that single quote that Knight is gone.
The intentions of fellow freshman Terrence Jones and junior DeAndre Liggins are still unknown.
