The focus on the Wildcat recruiting world in 2011 has in large part lied with Boyle County linebacker Lamar Dawson and Cincinnati linebacker Antonio Poole, but the Wildcats picked up another important piece to the puzzle on Sunday night.

The focus on the Wildcat recruiting world in 2011 has in large part lied with Boyle County linebacker Lamar Dawson and Cincinnati linebacker Antonio Poole, but the Wildcats picked up another important piece to the puzzle on Sunday night.

Pensacola Catholic (Fl.) linebacker Demarius Rancifer decided to go with the Wildcats after considering offers from schools such as Ole Miss and West Virginia.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound linebacker picked up 177 tackles and 33 for a loss as a senior on his way to becoming one of the best linebacker prospects in Florida.

Rancifer visited Kentucky in December and was impressed with the Wildcats.

"The visit was great," he told KSR in December. "Everything stood out to me. The visit was just great," he finished.

Rancifer is Kentucky's 20th commitment for the 2011 class and helps ease the urgency to land other linebacker prospects on the Wildcat recruiting board.

KSR hopes to have more on Rancifer in the coming days.
