Trevathan played with bruised ribs

Danny Trevathan was off his game a little on Saturday, though he did accumulate eleven tackles. Trevathan had good reason to not be his usual physical self due to suffering bruised ribs early in the game.

Even though linebacker Danny Trevathan had 11 tackles in the loss to Georgia, it was not one of his better overall games as several times he failed to make plays he normally makes. However, there was a reason — he bruised ribs early in the game but continued to play.

"He got banged up early and that took some of his sting away from him. He is a physical player and couple of plays you could tell he was not himself," Kentucky coach Joker Phillips said. "Danny does play hard for us, but there were just a couple times he did not play like Danny usually plays and lot of that had to do with him getting banged up."

Phillips says he expects him to be fine for this week's game at Mississippi State. Recommended Stories
